Job Qualification Requirements:
High school diploma/GED. Must have previous experience as a Lifeguard. Must have or be able and willing to successfully obtain valid Basic First Aid & CPR and Lifeguard certifications. Must have a proficiency in water activities (such as swimming and diving). Foreign language skills in Chinese or Korean are a plus. Must be able to adapt to changing weather conditions and maintain a positive demeanor. Must be able to work flexible hours, shifts, evenings/graveyards, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather. Must be comfortable working in remote and rugged environments.

The position involves planning, organizing, and leading tours, island excursions and water activities for individuals and groups as well as monitoring recreational areas, such as pools or beaches to aid and protect participants.
Position responsibilities:
- Greet and assist all customers.
- Patrol or monitor recreational areas, such as swimming areas on foot or from lifeguard towers.
- Monitor tour group activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and aid in emergencies such as providing first aid or directing emergency evacuation, communicating with company officers and the company’s Safety & Health Officer.
- Rescue distressed people, using rescue techniques and equipment.
- Contact emergency medical personnel in case of serious injury.
- Examine injured people and administer first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if necessary, using training and medical supplies and equipment.
- Warn recreational participants of inclement weather, unsafe areas, or illegal conduct.
- Complete and maintain records of weather and beach conditions, emergency medical treatments performed, and other relevant incident information.
- Instruct participants in swimming or other recreational activities and provide safety precaution information.
- Inspect recreational equipment, such as rope tows, T-bars, J-bars, or chair lifts, for safety hazards and damage or wear.
- Inspect recreational facilities for cleanliness.
- Observe activities in assigned areas, using binoculars, to detect hazards, disturbances, or safety infractions.
- Operate underwater recovery units.
- Help with staff selection, training, and supervision.
- Aid in the safe use of equipment, such as life jackets and jet skis.
- Participate in recreational demonstrations to entertain resort guests.
- Address customer queries regarding optional tours and other onshore/island and water activities.
- Offer directions and other relevant information to customers.
- Promote and sell optional tours and activities guiding customers to safe and authorized options.
- Distribute brochures, conduct presentations and explain establishment processes to customers.
- Communicate in foreign languages with visitors.
- Assist and provide support to Boat Captains as they prepare marine vehicles, jet skis, banana boats to include docking, getting underway, and while on the Saipan lagoon.
- Keep informed of shut-down and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Serve as liaison between Adventure Guides, Customer Service Specialists, Lifeguards, Deckhands, Boat Mechanics, and Boat Captains.
- Contacts emergency medical personnel in cases of serious injury.
- Perform any other assigned tasks or duties.
